Released in 1980 on Alfa Records, Minako Yoshida's first self-produced album is a masterpiece of Japanese Soul / Funk. Carefully crafted, spacious arrangements bring her extraordinary vocal expression to the forefront, while heavy, sticky grooves intertwine with subtle melancholy and deep emotion. A stunning balance of restraint and intensity, and one of my personal all-time favorite Japanese Soul albums.
